A Tour of the Chinese Medicinal Herb Garden
at UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens
Berkeley, California

Join Anastacia White and a small group on a discovery of one of the most extensive Chinese herbal medicine gardens in the United States. The herbs in the garden were a gift from the People's Republic of China to the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens. The garden was designed and planted in 1986 with the supervision of Professor Xu Hong-Hua of Guang Zhou College.

You will experience over one hundred Chinese herbs in their natural state, arranged in the garden according to their therapeutic categories. Anastacia will present an overview of the herbal categories according to Traditional Chinese medicine in conjunction with commenting on selected individual herbs.

These herb walks are open to those folks who have an interest in medicinal plants as well as it being a wonderful opportunity for health practitioners to deepen their connection with the herbs in a rich sensory experience.

This promises to be an afternoon of awesome natural wonders. The herb walks are offered on selected Saturdays or Sundays during the Spring, Summer and Fall.
