The
Five Elements Workshop
This workshop
offers a journey into mind and body via The Five Elements. Understanding
the ancient Chinese theory of The Five Elements allows a deeper
understanding of self, both as an individual and in relationship
to the environment.
This timeless
and profound template for typing character and form is based on
a theory of correspondences. Each of the elements; Wood, Fire, Earth,
Metal and Water correspond to every part of the human soma and psyche.
Discovering
how the elements of the macrocosm effect the individual's microcosm
promotes understanding about personal health patterns and the patterns
of those around you. This workshop facilitates the participant in
understanding personal strengths and expression, both in the psycho-spiritual
dimension and in the physical realm. The workshop is designed in an interactive format with a panel narrative of each element. Practical suggestions to balance the elements; diet, herbs, exercise, spiritual practices, essential oils and finding emotional equilibrium will be presented.
